On behalf of our client Mota-Engil Uganda, we are looking for a competentskilled, and experienced Foreman Earthworks to work in Uganda.

Position: Foreman Earthworks.

Department: Production.

Job summary:

The Foreman Earthworks will be responsible for supervision of earthworks operations on the production site

Key roles and responsibilities.

  • Plan & allocates site earthwork crews.
  • Perform detailed supervision, to ensure a quality installed scope of work which meets project specifications and procedures for all earthworks.
  • Liaise with the surveying team to ensure correct set outs for all works
  • Responsible for monitoring contractors and site teams for competence in all aspects of installation and testing to meet the project specifications
  • Keep up to date on the review of Facilities and HES procedures

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.

  • Higher national diploma in civil engineering or certificate /training in a related field with 5 years of experience in a related role will be considered in lieu of the required Diploma.
  • 12 years of proven work experience in civil works operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management in production and planning.
  • Good knowledge of civil equipment, and tools and maintaining their safety.
  • Experience working on large international construction projects is an added advantage
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with owners and project engineers.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and plans.
