Description
Job Summary
The volunteer will build capacity of the local Biomedical Technicians in hospitals to maintain and repair medical equipment. The overall placement objective is to build the capacity of relevant staff in the placement hospital to do installation of basic medical equipment, minor maintenance and to manipulate the machines appropriately.
Responsibilities
• Train local biomedical Technician on biomedical equipment repair.
• Train medical equipment users on safe operations
• Repair broke medical equipment,
• In collaboration with the local Biomedical Technician, prepare biomedical report and inventory of the equipment,
• Maintains biomedical equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules and conducting tests,
• Following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions, calling for special service, evaluating service contracts, maintaining equipment inventories.

Job Requirements
Required education: Bachelor's degree
